PELOSI SAYS DEMOCRATS WILL PUSH FOR MAIL-IN VOTING IN NEXT RELIEF PACKAGE

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Monday Democrats would be calling for a vote-by-mail clause in the next coronavirus relief package for Congress.
In an interview with Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC’s LIVE, Pelosi said as the coronavirus crisis continues, it’s important to protect the “life of our democracy”
“We will be promoting voting by mail in a very significant way in this next bill — at this stage, we believe it is a health problem,” Pelosi said.

Democrats have been promoting mail-in voting for weeks before primary elections in May and June — more than a dozen of which were delayed or canceled due to coronavirus — and looking forward to the November election.
However, President Donald Trump opposes the proposal and has been encouraging Republicans to fight the initiative.
A recent poll from NBC News / Wall Street Journal showed that a plurality of voters — 58 percent — are in favor of allowing voters around the country to cast their ballots by email.
As representatives are now back in their states, it’s unclear when Congress will consider another aid package. Lawmakers approved another relief bill last week for re-funding the Paycheck Insurance System and for sending more funds to hospitals.

  1. That’s ridiculous. The majority of people in the United States are no longer quarantined.
When the voters arrive at the polling place they should be given a mask and told to remain 6 feet apart from everyone. The polling booths should be placed 6 foot apart also. After each person votes suppose can be quickly sanitized.
That shouldn’t slow down the voting much at all. If need be the vote could be extended to two days instead of just one.
Mail in voting is too insecure.

  2. I just can't believe that Nancy Pelosi is using the coronavirus as a reason for Americans to have to mail in their votes. SHE HAS MILKED THAT CORONAVIRUS CRAP FOR ALL IT IS WORTH.
I am an American voter, permitted by law to go to my polling place and vote. I do not want to mail my vote in.
If she's going to make mail-in voting a requirement as part of her next relief package, then she can poke her next relief package up her ass. While trying to get a bill passed in the House, she sneaks in other items that fit her own agenda. She calls
our government a democracy, and then in the Congress she treats our state representatives as though she is their dictator??? We have had enough of this woman pushing everybody around and making her own desires turn into bills which turn into laws against the American public.
We don't like it and we're not going to take it anymore.
